Most cars today have a schedule, developed by the manufacturer of your vehicle. Adhering to this schedule can extend the life of your vehicle and avoid costly break-downs. Some items on your maintenance schedule could be:
Each car’s requirements vary slightly. We can easily look up the requirements for your specific vehicle.
There are factors that may come into play to your maintenance schedule. This is where the expert team at Harvey Road can save you time and money. For example, some vehicles don’t require new parts for over 100k miles, yet certain vehicles, when the parts are left in the engine for that long, they can’t be removed without completely disassembling the engine. This is something the manufacturer didn’t anticipate when they wrote your service schedule. In this case, as an example, we can remove the parts at regular intervals, such as every 30k miles, coat the threads with a special grease that will withstand the heat of the engine, and keep them from seizing, and re-install them, preventing a 2-3 thousand dollar repair down the road.
On the flip side, there are items that we can inspect in 5 seconds that some shops would charge you for. These small inspections can really add up costing you hundreds for inspections that we are going to do for you every time we see you car at no-charge anyway.
The bottom line
Our team is going to treat your car like we would our Mother’s car, nothing more and nothing less. We will follow your vehicle’s service schedule, but we may suggest deviations based on our expert experience.
