In 1981, Joe Scanlon founded a small business from the comfort of his home on Harvey Road in Arden, driven by a passion for serving his community and a deep belief in quality and customer care. What started as a modest operation quickly gained attention. Word of mouth spread fast, and before long, Joe's small home-based venture was outgrowing its space.

 

By the late 90's, it became clear that expansion was necessary. The business relocated to 1004 W 25th St, a larger facility that allowed Joe to better serve a growing customer base.

Years passed, and as the business reached new heights, Joe began thinking about the future. After decades of hard work, he made the decision to retire. But Joe didn't want his legacy to end with his departure. He had poured his heart and soul into building something lasting, and he needed someone who could continue that vison with the same passion and commitment.

Scott Phillips, a dedicated employee who had worked alongside Joe for many years. He has learned from the best and shared Joe's values of quality, integrity and customer satisfaction. When Joe offered him the chance to take over the business, Scott accepted with great pride. He understood the importance of maintaining the legacy that Joe built and was ready to carry the torch forward.

Under Scott's leadership, the business continues to grow and evolve. Scott embraces new technologies and strategies but always keeps the company's core values intact.  Through hard work, dedication and unwavering commitment to the principles set by Joe, Scott ensures that the legacy would not only survive but thrive. Today, Harvey Road Automotive stands as a testament to the power of perseverance , community and the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next.
